Saturday, August 29th

  9:00 AM     Event and camps open.

10:00 AM     Woods Walk & Skirmish  --  You will be part of the scenario, as you are taken on a
                                                                           "Journey Through The Wilderness."  You will be guided
                                                                           and protected by a regiment of soldiers.  Step lively, and
                                                                           watch carefully!  You may be the first to spot the enemy!

                       Note:  The walk will take about 1 hour and is about 1/2 mile in length.  Because it follows on a
                       rough forest path, it is not Handicapped accessible and strollers are not allowed.  Gunfire and shouting
                       may frighten very young children.  Please use your discretion.

                       Please be at the event early!  This is a popular feature, and takes place on a first-come, first-served
                       basis.  You will need to catch the yellow bus near the monument at 9:30 AM to be taken to the starting
                       point.  The bus will also bring you back to the top of the park afterward.  There is no extra charge.

Hungry after your Wilderness Journey?
Be sure to have a bowl of our famous 'Tater Soup, cooked in an iron kettle over a fire.
Only $1.00 per cup.  Should be ready about 11:00 AM.
It's delicious!

There are also food vendors in the handicapped parking lot, across from the information table.

 2:00 PM     Woods Walk & Skirmish  --  Please see the description and information above.

 3:30 PM      Military Drill For Kids --  To Arms!  To Arms!  All kids are called to muster in front of the
                                                                    lodge!  Join the Drill Sergeant to learn how 18th century soldiers
                                                                    drilled with their muskets.  Wooden toy muskets provided on loan.

 5:00 PM      Event and camps close.

You may ride the yellow bus down to the lower areas, or you can take the path through the woods.
It's about a half mile walk.

"Whatever Did They Wear?"
A display about 18th century women's clothing.

Sunday, August 30th

  9:00 AM     Event and camps open.

10:00 AM     18th Century Church Service at the lodge.  Public is welcome.

11:00 AM     18th Century Fashion Show of Men's and Ladies' clothing, at the lodge.

11:30 AM     Musket vs. Rifle Demonstration on the lodge terrace.

 2:00 PM       Battle Re-enactment --  On our battlefield.  You will be surrounded by the action, as the
                                                                    battle rages on both sides of you!

                        Note:  Please allow yourself plenty of time to get down to the battlefield.  You may walk the short trail,
                        or you may ride the yellow bus down.  Handicapped transportation down to the battlefield area is
                        available.  Inquire at the Information table.
