Dubai Municipality has launched a consultancy tender aimed at reviewing the city's sewage treatment strategy to support future growth. The initiative, titled P115-D1 Consultancy Services to Study the Sewage Treatment Strategy, falls under the Sewerage and Recycled Water Projects Department (SRPD) of Dubai Municipality.
The objective of the project is to assess the current sewage treatment and recycled water distribution strategy, with a focus on preparing for Dubai’s growing population. Consultants will be tasked with testing the strategy’s resilience to future demands and proposing necessary adjustments.
Key elements of the consultancy include:
- Evaluating the existing sewage treatment and recycled water systems in terms of sustainability and future growth.
- Proposing amendments to the current strategy.
- Identifying locations, both onshore and offshore, for potential future treatment, pumping, and boosting facilities, including corridors for main carriers.
- Assessing the needs and costs associated with collection, distribution, and land allocation for these facilities.
Interested consultants are invited to submit proposals, with the closing date for submissions set for March 23, 2026. The deadline may be extended if necessary.
